Bodhi seeds (Ficus religiosa) are considered sacred in Buddhism because of their connection to the Buddha's enlightenment under a Bodhi tree. These seeds are round to oval in shape with a light to dark brown colour, and are particularly rare to find outside their natural habitat in South and Southeast Asia, where the tree grows naturally.
