Sachen Kunga Nyingpo (1092-1158) was a prominent Tibetan Buddhist master, considered one of the founders of the Sakya school, one of the four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism. The son of Khön Könchok Gyalpo, he was a scholar and spiritual practitioner who transmitted profound teachings on the four attachments, conceptualizing how human beings can free themselves from the worldly bonds that keep them trapped in the cycle of suffering. His fundamental teaching suggests that as long as one remains attached to the worldly realm, personal fame, temporary pleasures, and one's own ego, it will be impossible to achieve true spiritual transformation, inviting practitioners to conscious detachment that allows them to transcend the limitations of ordinary perception.
